Kelly Washington Wines was founded in 2016 by Tamra Washington and Simon Kelly. After early experience at Seresin Estate, Tamra built an international career across the USA, Australia, and Italy, becoming Head Winemaker for multiple Mediterranean estates by age 25. Returning to New Zealand, she established a major new winery before launching Kelly Washington Wines and consulting again for Seresin.

Tamra and Simon focus on distinctive, high‑quality sites—old vines, altitude, organic and biodynamic farming—and work exclusively with hand‑harvested fruit. Using concrete eggs, large oak, and amphora, they craft wines defined by purity, texture, and balance.
